A new addition.

Those of you who know me will know that i have always possessed an admiration for insects especially bees (i'll take some pictures of my bee hive in progress) and beetles. They are profoundly effiecient at their jobs, i understand that despite i have this view, they are just trying to live like any other organisim, for whatever reason, whether its eating rotten wood or musley (hint hint).
On my travels, yet again, i came across an insect tank low and behold an idea fell from my right ear and into my purse. Damn. I have to say now, that thankfully i am not an impulsive person but after some bargainng (and pressing my femmenine charms against the glass...but we wont go into that, but i did get £20 off!) i took it home with me. After some time researching what little insect i could study i came across a website devoted to keepers of the praying mantis. Brilliant! They recommended an Indian flower Mantis for me as im a complete novis and would find the behaviour of other species too erratic. He arrived this morning, i know he's a he because of the wing stumps at the nape of his 'neck'. Not sure what to name him yet, names ae such funny things. I fed him his first meal this morning a fat green fly, he stalked it along the branch inside his cage and pounced in a flurry of limbs.
